Questions?
You're probably not the only one. Below are the things customers ask most often about our materials, craftsmanship, care, and ordering process. If you don't see your answer here, reach out directly and I'll get back to you personally.
Materials & Craftsmanship
We want you to be delighted with your purchase. If for any reason you're not satisfied, you can return your unworn and undamaged jewelry within 30 days of purchase for a full refund or exchange. Please refer to our detailed return policy for more information on the process.
We work with a rotating selection of sustainably sourced domestic and exotic hardwoods, including Walnut, Maple, Cherry, Olivewood, Zebrawood, Chakte Kok, Canarywood, and Bolivian Rosewood. Each species is chosen for its grain character, color, and workability. The specific wood options available are listed on each product page.
Every piece of wood has its own natural grain pattern, color variation, and figure. Product photos show representative examples, but no two pieces come out identical. Your item will fall within the same color and character range as what you see online, but it will be uniquely yours. That variation is a feature of real wood, not a defect.
Every item is handcrafted in a one-person studio in Hamilton, Ohio. There are no factories or outsourced manufacturing involved. Each piece is made, finished, and inspected by hand before it ships.
Slightly. Wood density can shift even within a single sheet, which means the laser reacts differently across the grain. This creates subtle variations in burn tone from piece to piece. It is a natural result of working with real wood, and it gives each item its own character.
Some laser-cut products may carry a faint, campfire-like aroma when you first open the package. This is a natural byproduct of precision laser cutting and is completely non-toxic. The scent typically fades within a day or two.
Care & Maintenance
Keep your piece dry when possible. If the finish starts to look dull or dry, apply a small amount of food-safe mineral oil or our Wood Butter to restore the grain's depth. Avoid prolonged soaking, submersion, or leaving items in direct sunlight for extended periods. With basic care, these products hold up for years.
Our finishes are water-resistant, not waterproof. Brief contact with moisture, like a splash or light rain, is fine. Avoid showering, swimming, or running items through a dishwasher. If something does get wet, pat it dry and let it air out before storing. A light re-oiling once or twice a year helps maintain the protective finish.
No. Laser engraving is permanent since it burns directly into the wood fiber. Sublimation printing bonds to the surface at a molecular level. Neither process produces a coating that peels or rubs off with normal use.
Customization & Personalization
Absolutely! We offer customization services for many of our pieces. Contact our customer service team to discuss your preferences, from engraving to choosing specific gemstones, and we'll work with you to create a personalized masterpiece.
Yes. We use precision laser cutting, so we can contour pieces into virtually any shape, from intricate logos to organic silhouettes. Standard shapes like circles and squares are just the starting point. For items like the magnetic board, custom dimensions are available on request.
For all custom and personalized orders, we send a digital proof so you can review placement, sizing, and details before we start cutting. Nothing goes into production until you approve it.
Absolutely. We can cut any size hole into a token at no additional cost. Include it in your design file with a red stroke, or let us know the size and placement and we will add it to the artwork for you.
Ordering & Shipping
Most orders ship within 2 to 5 business days. Personalized and custom orders typically add 3 to 5 business days for proofing and production. Larger bulk orders may take slightly longer. We always aim to get your order out as quickly as possible without cutting corners on quality.
For most retail products, there is no minimum. For custom bulk items like keychains and tokens, the minimum is typically 25 pieces. Volume pricing kicks in automatically, so the more you order, the lower the per-piece cost. Great for events, corporate gifts, wedding favors, or retail inventory.
No. PRWMade gift cards never expire and can be used on any product in the shop. They are delivered digitally via email, and you can send them directly to the recipient or to yourself to forward later.
Product Specific
Yes. All of our earrings use hypoallergenic posts and findings, either stainless steel or sterling silver depending on the style. Wood is naturally much lighter than metal, so even larger designs stay comfortable for all-day wear. Customers who normally avoid earrings due to sensitivity often find wood to be a better fit.
Make sure your surface is clean, dry, and smooth. Peel the backing and press firmly from the center outward. We use premium 3M adhesive for a strong, reliable hold. Our wooden stickers flex along the grain, so they work well on curved surfaces like water bottles and tumblers.
Yes. The pin backing uses a stainless steel stick pin with a locking butterfly clasp that distributes pressure evenly. The wood face is smooth-finished with no sharp edges, so it will not snag or tear fabrics like silk or wool.
Yes. Each opener features genuine wood veneer with natural color and grain, not a printed imitation. Every piece has its own unique pattern.
